First find out what the selector numbers mean
A selector label can show physical stack mass, effective resistance, or a machine-specific scale. Do not assume each plate weighs the number printed beside it, or that all plates in the stack are identical. The top assembly and optional microload mechanisms can follow different conventions.

Record the main selector position, add-on amount, station, and attachment consistently. That lets you reproduce a session without pretending the approximate handle force is laboratory exact.
